The Fury 3 is a portable dry herb vaporizer from the company HealthyRips. The Fury 3 vape is an upgraded version of the Fury 2 although maybe closer in comparison to the Fury Edge and it’s one of the best entry level vaporizers that I recommend.
Not only is it one of the smallest vaporizers, but the Fury 3 ($119) also offers a full temp spectrum, on vape display, and quick heat-up times. The upgraded 2300mAh battery in the Fury 3 provides nearly double the battery life of both the previous Fury 2 model and the POTV One. The extra power provides some performance gains as well like faster heat up times and a more powerful heater. The only downside so far for me has been the higher draw resistance which is common in devices this size.
Overall the Fury 3 is a great entry level vaporizer for someone wanting a reliable, affordable, easy to use device with a great warranty. You can also upgrade to the HR Rogue 2 ($139) for more airflow, battery life and performance but will sacrifice some portability. Check out my HR Rogue 2 review for more info.

The Fury 3 has tons of options for accessories including glass stems, water pipe adapters, and small bubblers. It does come with only one dosing capsule so if you think you’ll use them, I would pick up a few extra. The dosing capsule caddy is a nice accessory for use on the go.
Build Quality and Design

Build Quality – All of the Healthy Rips dry herb vaporizers are beautifully designed and manufactured. They’ve been at this for a while and it shows in the overall design and production. I really like this Blue color and it was fun to take photos with so that’s a bonus. Most of the other dry herb vaporizers in this space are straight black (other than new Veazy), so its nice to see this beautiful blue.

Chamber Info – The Fury 3 uses a Titanium chamber, a stainless steel isolated vapor path and a stainless steel heating coil. The chamber is roughly 11m in diameter and holds roughly .17 to .2g of flower depending on the herb you are using and grind preferences. You can check out my recommendations for the best weed grinder if you don’t have one already.

Outer Shell – The outer body is aluminum alloy and hardened with a clear coat finish which gives it that nice sheen. The buttons are easy to press with no rattling or weird movements. The display is clear and easy to read but it is a bit dim for bright daytime operations.
Size & Portability – While the Fury 3 is a bit bigger and weighs a bit more than the previous Fury 2 model, it’s still super easy to pocket for use on the go and the included protective cover helps keep down on the smell if you have herbs in the chamber. The Fury 3 weighs roughly 167g and the exact dimensions are 90.5 x 51.8 x 27.4mm (3.5″ x 2” x 1”).

Cleaning and Maintenance – The Fury 3 is pretty easy to clean overall. Just make sure to empty out the chamber immediately after your sessions and use the included brush to clean off the screen. It also helps to use the dosing capsules to keep the herbs contained and residue free from the chamber. Check out my Vaporizer Dosing Capsule Guide for more info. Maintenance consists of swabbing out the chamber with a q-tip and a small amount of ISO, soaking the mouthpiece in some soapy water, drying everything out and putting it back together.
Warranty Info – Last but not least, Healthy Rips includes a one year free replacement warranty and a lifetime 1/2 price replacement warranty for some peace of mind. I’ve never had an issue with any of my Healthy Rip dry herb vaporizers but its nice to know they stand behind their products and will take care of you if anything happens.
Fury 3 Upgrades (vs Fury 2)

New Slide Magnetic Vapor Path – First off, I really like the upgraded slide out chamber with magnetic bottom. It helps keep chamber locked down while also making it easy to load and unload the chamber. The previous Fury 2 model had a click in design which made it harder to access the chamber, this new design is so much easier to work with.
Battery & Temp Upgrades – The Fury 3 is also slightly heavier than the Fury 2 which is due to the upgraded 2300mAh battery vs the 1600mAh on the Fury 2. The larger battery also allows the Fury 3 to use a larger heating coil which makes the device more powerful overall. The Fury 3 also has an extended temperature range going from 320F on the bottom end of the Fury 2, to 280F on the new Fury 3. So the new temp range on the Fury 3 is 280F – 430F. Lastly, the Fury 3 heats up slightly quicker, averaging around 20 seconds vs 25 on the Fury 2.
Chamber Size Increase – The chamber size has been increased to 11mm on the Fury 3 and can hold about .2g of dry herbs vs .15g in the Fury 2. One of the cons in my Fury 2 review was the small chamber size limited the device to only 1-2 person sessions and while .2g is still relatively small compared to other portable vaporizer, it still opens the door for small group settings.
Gained Some Weight – With the upgraded battery and performance upgrades, the weight also increased a bit from 134g (Fury 2) to 167g on the new Fury 3. If you already have the Fury 2 and looking to upgrade, you will notice the size and weight difference but overall when compared to other portable vaporizers, the Fury 3 is still a small device and easily pocketable for use on the go.
Heating & Temp Options

Heating Style – The Fury 3 uses a hybrid convection / conduction heating system to produce very good vapor quality for its size and the larger vapor path helps cool the vapor slightly more than the previous model. The draw resistance is slightly higher than average which means it takes some lung power to really rip a session but common for devices this size. There’s not much room for airflow when thinking about pocket-friendly vaporizers. If airflow is a big priority (and budget doesn’t matter) I recommend checking out my Venty Vaporizer review.

Temp Range – The Fury 3 comes features an extended temp range of 280F – 430F (vs 320F – 430F Fury 2) and temperatures can be changed instantly via the up / down buttons on the device. You can see the preset temp and the actual temperature via the display and the haptic feedback will let you know when the Fury 3 is at temp.
Heating Times – The Fury 3 heats to temp in around 20 seconds depending on loading style, the flower, ambient temperatures, battery level and if this is a cold start or back to back session. It also has a session timer ranging from 3-7 minutes which is nice because I prefer using the entire 7 minutes but others might want a quick session with a precise dose via the dosing capsule.
Vaporizer Battery Info

Battery Specs – The Fury 3 uses an internal rechargeable non-replaceable 2300mAh LiPo battery. This is a massive upgrade compared to the 1600mAh on the Fury 2 and the POTV One and the reason the Fury 3 is a top pick for dry herb vaporizers in that $110 price range.
Battery Life – I’ve been averaging about 70 – 80 minutes (roughly 5-7 sessions) of battery life on a fully charged battery and the upgraded battery / performance helps control temps better throughout the session. This is pretty decent for the size of the device. Other units will definitely offer more battery life per charge but will usually run bigger in size.

Charging Times – The Fury 3 chargers via USB-C fast charging (5V/1.5A) and I’ve been averaging around 90 minutes to fully charge the Fury 3 from dead. It does offer pass-through charging so you can use the device with a slight charge in a pinch.
Fury 3 Review Conclusion

Conclusion – Overall the Fury 3 is a great device for someone needing a reliable, pocketable, dry herb vaporizer that won’t break the bank. At $119, its one of the most competitive in this price range and the extra battery life makes it worth the extra $20 when compared to the POTV One. The only downside so far is the draw resistance and its a common issue with devices this size.

Alternative Option – If you did want something with a little more airflow, more battery life and possibly something better for partner / group scenarios, I recommend checking out my Healthy Rips Rogue 2 review. The HR Rogue 2 ($139) is and upgraded version for not much increase in price and the coupon code works for the Rogue 2 as well.
