First Time Use POTV One

If you are using your POTV One for the first time, I recommend a full charge, some cleaning, and a burn-off, which I’ll explain below.
POTV Burn-Off Procedure:
- Fully charge the POTV ONE.
- Throw a small amount of ISO on a q-tip and clean the chamber, the mouthpiece, and any other pieces in the vapor path.
- The next thing you want to do is a full temp burn off.
- Power on the POTV ONE by pressing the Power Button (top one) three times in a row. The POTV splash screen will load, and it will automatically begin heating to the pre-set temp.
- Increase the temp to the max, and once there, you can begin to take small puffs like you were puffing on a cigar. The goal here is not to inhale but take a small puff and immediately blow it out.
- Repeat this step until there are no smells or taste associated with the heat up process.
After finishing the initial steps, we can load the chamber with dry herbs or concentrates. With dry herb, you can load directly into the chamber or use the included herb canister. With concentrates, we can throw a little bit on the stainless steel mesh pad that comes with the ONE.
POTV One Dry Herb Use

I prefer to load a full chamber with the ONE because although it is a hybrid heating system, it still uses quite a bit of conduction that works best when it is full.
My preferred temp with the straight black mouthpiece is right around 360F unless I’m hitting it with a water piece, then I will crank it up to 410ish.
POTV One Herb Canisters (Dosing Capsules)

The POTV ONE herb canister is similar to that of the Storz and Bickel dosing capsules. It allows you to pre-pack a canister before heading out, and it also helps keep the chamber cleaner for longer.
Downsides to the canister are that it adds draw resistance and quite a bit more conduction heating, which lowers overall vapor quality. However, a lot of people really like the canister idea because they keep you organized and help you be more precise with each dose, especially if you’re trying to micro-dose.
The canister also drops the already small chamber size, which is not ideal if you’re a heavier user like yours truly.
Grinding Tips for POTV One

I’ve also found that finer grinds work best and produce the most clouds. It does gunk up the screen a little faster, but I prefer the taste and vapor production over a more coarse grind. POTV makes a great budget grinder around the $20 price point and I have a full buying guide for the best weed grinder if you want some more options.
Concentrate Use With POTV One

The ONE can also vape concentrates with the included mesh pad. It’s definitely not the best way to vape your concentrates, but it does work. Just be sure to take a q-tip with some iso to the chamber after a session, preferably while the vape is still a bit warm. Make sure to turn the vape upside down, so you’re not getting any ISO into the chamber.
You can also load some herbs into the chamber and then place the concentrates on top of the herb. Remember, a little bit goes a long way. Don’t overload the chamber with concentrates.
